The JBL 4305P Studio Monitor is a new small powered speaker system that lets you hear all the details of your favourite music and gives you access to hi-res streaming. Despite being the most compact model in the Studio Monitor range, the 4305P delivers volume that makes you think you’re listening to a large pair of floorstanding speakers! The only device you need
A fully self-contained active speaker system, the 4305P has 300Wrms of total system power built in, a 24-bit/192kHz high-resolution DAC and six inputs that can be used with a wide range of digital and analogue audio sources. In addition, it has a selectable bass contour control to compensate for acoustic differences in speaker placement and a subwoofer output for an external subwoofer.
For many modern listeners, streaming provides easy and convenient access to a whole world of music, and the 4305P fortunately shines in this area. Integrated streaming provides both wired and wireless networked audio capabilities via Ethernet, Google Chromecast Built-in, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth audio. A 24-bit/192kHz high-resolution DAC ensures that your favourite music comes out in the highest quality. In addition to premium wireless audio, the 4305P provides a range of connections to physical sources, including asynchronous USB, digital inputs and a 3.5mm analogue input. Taking its capabilities even further, the 4305P includes an analog input with combination XLR / 1⁄4-inch TRS phono connector and a selectable input sensitivity switch for use with balanced or unbalanced signals. This input allows balanced XLR and 1⁄4-inch TRS (tip/ring/sleeve) or unbalanced TS (tip/sleeve) connections perfect for use in home studio applications for music, video and podcast creation.
The 4305P Studio Monitor system comes with a primary and secondary speaker with selectable L/R allocation capability to suit your personal placement preference. The primary speaker has front panel controls for volume, mute, input selection and Bluetooth pairing, plus all the physical inputs on the rear panel. In addition to the front panel control, the 4305P includes a Bluetooth handheld remote and can be controlled as part of a Google Home or Apple Airplay ecosystem. When working with a wireless connection between the speakers, the 4305P is able to lower a hi-res resolution of up to 96kHz. When connected with the included 2m Digital Link cable, the audio resolution can be extended to the full 192kHz for the very best performance.
For the music connoisseur, the 4305P can reproduce MQA audio files and is certified Roon Ready. As with the larger models in the Studio Monitor series, the 4305P uses patented JBL transducer technologies to achieve remarkable levels of acoustic performance not available from traditional designs. A 2410H-2 1″ compression driver is paired with a High-Definition Imaging horn for crystal-clear highs and lifelike dynamics. A 5.25″ fiber-composite and molded-frame woofer operates in a bass-reflex configuration with dual front-firing tuned ports. Each of the transducers is powered by an internal Class D amplifier that delivers 25W to each compression driver and 125W to each woofer for a total system power of 300Wrms. Custom tuning allows a level of refinement and accuracy from the 4305P that simply isn’t possible with a passive speaker. Your eyes will not believe what your ears hear!
To give the 4305P the best sound characteristics, JBL has constructed the cabinet with 3⁄4″ MDF with internal bracing and features a real wood veneer in a choice of natural walnut with blue grille or black walnut with black grille.
